explaining my vacation

hallo!!!

i planned to post earlier, but sadly i procrastinated. and figured out how to upload pictures! (Brandenburger Tor at the bottom of the page)

id first like to say something. Steve Jobs, thank you. you created what most cannot. thank you for inventing the Macintosh. without it, we would be living in the very slow world of the PC. thank you and rest in peace my friend.

So.......anyways....

my two week vacation has gone smoothly, no snares; just a smooth ride. at the beginning of week one, i forget what i did, but i think it revolved around berlin.  but ill tell you guys what i remember doing.

oh i forgot, DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR THE WEATHER! IT IS NOW VERY CHILLY IN OCTOBER. i did freeze on somedays.

so,  besides turing into a block of ice, i visited Friedrich Straße and found the best book store ever. yeah, you could call it a book store, but it has CDs, DVDs, records, wrapping paper, boxes, souvenirs, books, books, books. and ENGLISH BOOKS! ha ha ha!! they have such a variety of english books i have ever seen over here in Europe. they range from the best of the bestsellers to the most random comic books ever known to man. so i took one random book from the self that caught my eye: Hungover Owls was the title, and i started reading. i soon realized that i don't cry my tears out but laugh them out. as i sat sobbing, i spied the book that i have been trying to find for over a month: A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin. which is the sequel to the book, A Game of Thrones, and is the second book in the series, A Song of Fire and Ice. (it's an HBO series too!) i bought it right away. ever since i got here in Deutschland, i have picked up reading like ive never done before. its awesome.

i went to the zoo. and witnessed what i thought was only a myth: monkeys throwing poop. my friend and i arrived at the apes just in time for an epic meltdown from one of the alpha apes, which involved lots of screaming, flying fruit, dirt, and yes, poop. it was actually interesting, watching how the ape on the other side of this monkey criticism took it. he climbed all the way up to the very top of the wire cage and stayed there swinging from the top and waited until when the other monkeys moved away, he climbed to a tree near by. but clambered back up when a monkey came after him.

yesterday my friends and i discovered Lego Store Germany. i basically relived my childhood in a matter of 15 to 20 mins.

thats about it. if i think of something ill post in a month or two.

tschüss!
